“As a teacher with various activities and extensive teaching experiences abroad, education remains close to my heart, especially the promotion and support of disadvantaged children and adolescents in developing countries. Building on my years of involvement with projects of Action Education (formerly Aide et Action), I aim to continue providing this assistance through my foundation. The schools there offer children the prospect of a better and more hopeful life with respect and self-responsibility. Help for independence and autonomy is particularly encouraged, especially for girls.

Education is the foundation for changes and improvements in living conditions in developing countries.

Just as a child has a right to education, every person also has a right to a dignified old age, with connectedness and independence.

I have a familial connection to the Hospiz zum Heiligen Franziskus in Recklinghausen-Süd, which has grown, evolved, and proven itself over the years with the new residential project. There is insufficient financial support, even though there will be an increasing need in the future. Accommodations for the elderly become increasingly expensive, and therefore not all sick people who would like to be cared for in this hospice can always be accommodated. That is why I also want to support this hospice work, which simultaneously manages worldwide social projects for children.

My foundation supports opportunities for learning for disadvantaged children and adolescents, as well as opportunities for a better quality of life for people in need of care and assistance.”
